How to build a simple but powerful potato gun, UNDER 25 DOLLARS!





This Potato Gun is easy to build, but is very powerful. At 100 psi, it can shoot a potato up to 200 feet! DO NOT INFLATED PAST 100 PS1. Here is how i made it, (maybe an hour of work. I'm only 14.)

Materials:(and where to get them... your welcome)

1.5 inch pvc sch. 40 pipe (home depot or lowes) cut to: (15 inch section, 14 inch section, and two 2 inch sections)
(2X) 1.5 inch pvc 90 degree bends(home depot or lowes)
1.5 inch pvc ball valve(Home Depot or Lowes)
Air intake valve- .453 inch diameter; you'll know it when you see it (Auto Zone, 2 for 3 dollars)
PVC Cement(cleaner not needed) Home depot or Lowes
1.5 inch end cap(home depot or lose)




Instructions:
1) Cut the pvc to the specifications above.
2)Drill a 1/2 inch hole (Pilot holes if needed) in the 15 inch piece of PVC. (Attach the end cap to one end: NO CEMENT), and drill about 1/2 inches past the end of the end cap.
3) Push the air valve from the inside out of the hole in the 15 inch long piece of pvc.
4) Cement the endcap to the side of the 15 inch long pvc with the valve.
5) cement the other side to one of the 90 degree turns
6)cement the other side of the 90 degree turn into of the 2 inch pieces, and the other side of that to the other 90 degree angle.
7) The the turn conects to the other 2in piece, then the ball valve, then the 14 inch piece.
